I have tried everything even these products to remove hard water, nothing worked, until I tried the muriatic acid. It was magic. You have to be really careful because muriatic acid is a very powerful product. First I try with a little amount for 10 minutes, never scrub with the product on. Flush the toilet and then scrub. I did it 3 times, first for 10 minutes, 2nd for another 15 minutes and the 3rd for 20 minutes. The bowl was perfect. The hard water was gone. The toilet in my apartment has been disgusting since I moved in. I thought it was just gonna look like that the entire time I lived here because Chlorox brand wasn't even touching it. I tried The Works like you said and I barely had to scrub it, never mind take a wire scrubber to it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4013245082146625172.post-44818072526209073392015-04-21T16:51:36.206-07:002015-04-21T16:51:36.206-07:00gray?! you mean gold or blue? lol

I felt like "The Works" toilet cleaner was the biggest thing that helped as it did the most damage and the yellowish-orange stains that I was trying to get rid of. With that said, I didn't think the toilet looked good-as-new, and I was also very concerned about the fact that this method involved mixing an ammonia-based product (The Works) and the Ajax with bleach. I know it says rinse thoroughly but make sure you REALLY REALLY rinse thoroughly as these products when mixed together can create fatal chlorine gas fumes!! I think I will be trying a different method to see if I can get the toilet bowls just a tad bit cleaner, but it was a good start I suppose!Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17943143040982696157noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4013245082146625172.post-62929326364315984462012-10-05T19:47:07.433-07:002012-10-05T19:47:07.433-07:00@Plumbing, amen to that!
